Class 8 Writing Post- Media in a Changing Global Culture

Due to the fact that we live in a western society, I feel like we are very updated. We are being more urbanized and have access to much more then say a under developed country around the world or maybe a small town some where in America. With, in can infer that maybe those people staying in the under developed country won’t know about internet maybe or know about trending videos. Because they cannot access the internet because of their conditions, they wouldn’t be on up side of Global culture that is changing.

After reading the article by Mark Pagal called “Does Globalization mean we will become one culture?” it made me open my eyes a bit more. I mean this in a sense that yes, we all have out differences in our cultures and against other cultures, but when it comes to tackling problems and working together in a time of need everyone would come together to solve the problem. And even if there isn’t a huge crisis or problem that needed to be solve, that one culture wanted to explore and find out more about each other, that would be possible via the internet, via Social media, via Travel. And if we ever had to just become one culture, internet social media and travel will help aid into the smoother transition. By having those 3 things, it kind of takes away the “I wonder, and assumption” factor of finding out something about someone else. And with that, transitioning would be much easier and smoother, but that’s if we were ever going to transition into one huge culture. Which I highly doubt. Ultimately, when it comes to media in a changing global culture, I see it as duel evolution. As we continue to progress and create new things and evolve, Media is going to do the same. So rather than working against it, we should all just go with the flow.
